Yet another unusual holiday guide. Yes the five are off again. Having 'done' Kefalonia they met
up with Tipsy in Naxos for
more adventures in the Greek Islands and their annual pilgrimage for sun, sea and Snategen ( they're
are too old for sex).
This time to dig (metaphorically speaking of course) for any vestige of Dionysus son of the God Zeus
who was meant to have
lived on the island of Naxos. Whether they find any or not it is a good excuse to explore the island
and have fun. Follow
their adventures. For the impatient
Dionysus found
Sunset
Their aim was to find
The best beaches
Interesting things to do
Good places to eat
Good bars
Good Loo's Guide for the women (now they
have agreed the marking schema)
And of course indulge a little bit of cultural
exploration (the wine is meant to be good)
With the new dynamic graphic navigation
system (Dick's description of the click on map
on the left) you can choose you point on the
island and see what the 5 found (or you will be
able to when Dick's managed to load up all the
adventures).
Naxos Eye
The edge to site background is a famous Naxos
Eye. White on one side and other looks
remarkably like an eye in bigger specimens.
Not a shell in itself but the door to much larger
one. You may well find small ones on the
beach in summer or bigger ones after a winter
storm. Most of the ones you buy in the shops
are collected by divers.
